Adopting a Rhodesian Ridgeback is one of the more heartwarming experiences you will have in the dog world. The dogs are all spayed/neutered before going to their new homes and the dogs are generally checked out by a veterinarian. We do ask that all parties interested in adopting a rescue dog from us submit a completed Adoption Application so that we can try and match up a dog to your family before we ever meet. If that dog is not suitable, then we shall make suggestions of what other dog available might be better suited to your needs and why. Our adoption fee, while usually covering costs of veterinary visits, spays, neuter and vaccines and/or microchip, often does not come close. At other times we may have little to no expenses associated with a dog coming into rescue. All adoption fees go toward the expenses of the rescue dogs. Of course, we appreciate and solicit donations to help defray the costs that are not covered by the adoption fees. A dermoid surgery is often well over $500 and when you add that to the spay fees we can often spend close to $1,000 on some of the dogs. RRRNC is a volunteer organization and we have no paid staff.
